Conscious Choices provides members of the Etihad Guest loyalty program with an opportunity to win moments through sustainable actions such as recycling and purchasing green products and creating good habits like swimming or running daily. The project encourages guests to make conscious choices when they shop in-flight and on the ground towards a greener world – which is precisely what Ombori Grid enables.

Conscious Choices is a strong example of Ombori’s mission to make shopping more accessible and engaging for guests using its seamless integration technology. In this case, the Conscious Choices program results from the collaboration between Etihad Airways and Ombori Grid. Within weeks from the product launch phase, they partnered to provide a proprietary solution tailored for recycling kiosks in airports worldwide. The process begins when a guest uses the booth to drop off their recyclable bottles or cans and then connects with their Etihad Guest account by scanning a QR code on the kiosk. Once connected, each hotel stays, flight segment, or purchase made through Etihad Guest earns as many as 100 points and allows guests to earn extra points by making conscious choices such as recycling in the airports.
